Since 2001, RPG has attracted seasoned independent contractors due to RPG’s low overhead costs. The contractor retains a high percentage of the rate charged to the local jurisdiction. The jurisdiction, in turn, avoids paying the higher rates often associated with large consulting firms. RPG understands the importance of customer service and strives to only provide seasoned professionals with exceptional people skills and ethics. We believe it is of utmost importance to promote the terms “public servant” and “customer service” when it comes to local and regional government and put to rest any governmental stereotypes.
We believe that a city’s public counter sets the tone for the public’s perception of all employees and elected officials. We are especially aware of the roadblocks often encountered by the general public, be it residents, business owners, or the development community. We are solution-oriented and open to seeking creative solutions to ensure positive change. In this tough economy, cities are competing with one another and cannot afford narrow-minded thinking. To use a very old cliché, we have no choice but to continuously think “outside the box” to succeed.
The primary objective of RPG is to offer services that will enhance customer service, organization, communication, code interpretation and implementation for community development departments and arrive at solutions to help achieve the goals and objectives of a jurisdiction’s General Plan. In addition, RPG specializes in environmental review and has planners with extensive CEQA and NEPA experience.
